I almost forgot my password...

Finally I know. I have been so busy but we are alive and doing well. We arrived in Ohio about a week and a half ago and have been running nonstop. We miss Oregon and Idaho mainly the people, but are excited to start again in Ohio at least for four years while Ryan is in Dental School. I have lots of pics to post from the last two months and hopefully will get some time tommorow. If you want to see some of Riley right away you can go to my friends websitehttp://valgeneericksonphotography.blogspot.com/ of our day at the beach today!! Thanks again Valegene!

Ok Finally

Well I have a lot of things to blame the absence on. First we moved out of Rexburg(after 8 years for me it was time!!!).Thanks to all those that helped. Ryan is going to Dental School in the fall at Ohio State so we are moving to Ohio with my family for the summer to work and save money but not without taking a vacation which leads me to my second reason...we are in Oregon for who knows how long thanks to the Johnson brothers and flag football tournaments we may stay here to the middle of June!(that's a huge run on sentence oh well I'm not a English teacher anymore!) That's OK by me it is so beautiful here. We went to the beach the other day and it was 96 degrees!!! pictures will be posted soon!

The sock stealer... the binky stealer....or both???

Last night and many nights in the last couple months Riley will get up and cry because he no longer has his binky in his month, thus starting the pros and cons of getting your child to use a binky. Anyway as I frantically searched for his binky at 3 in the morning( so as not to wake the little boy downstairs with Riley's crying, sorry Southcott's).It hit me that binky's and socks go to the same place. I use to have 6 binkies now I am down to on one . Same with socks you put them in the dryer together and poof they're gone. I have even gone to the trouble to see if they are there when I switch from the washer to the dryer. Before you know it one sock from a pair is missing never to be seen again. I think the sock stealer gets the same pleasure out of stealing binkies. I can just see him laughing as he holds a couple socks from a pair and 5 of Riley's binkies. How rude!

too long

I have been in Rexburg for 8 years and on Saturday was the first time anyone asked if they could bag my milk. In Ohio where I am from they usually ask everytime. I always thought it was odd that no one ever asked here, not that I need a bag it is just nice to hear someone ask.

"Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain"

Apparently I wasn't blogging fast enough because my husband decided to step up to the plate and give an out of control blog! Good thing I love him even though he is very silly sometimes.
Lately nothing really is going on and when something does happen my camera is M.I.A. I did however get some really good pictures of Riley eating biter biscuits. P.S. am I the only Mom out there that thinks these things are yummy! Call me crazy but they are a good snack. Talk about taking candy(biscuits) from a baby. I have to buy more because Riley only ate two and I had the rest. Do the math people there are 12 in the box! I actually have just left this post to go get one because it sounded so good. I am pathetic. We took Riley to his six month appointment on Thursday. He is 18.6lbs, 27 1/2 inches and his head is 18 inches. So actually very average and normal. Have any of you ever loved a doctor so much that you want to take him to every city you live in. We will miss him when we leave. Speaking of leaving. We have decided to up our moving plans because Ryan has to be in Ohio and a resident by June 1 so that his second year of dental school will only cost us a Ohio residents rate which is like 30-40,000 dollars less than we are going to pay this year! The oil companies aren't the only ones making billions these days folks. We are lucky to get in, we just might have to sell everything we own or pay loans back until we die then our kids will take over our debts sad:(.

Pet Names

I have let my blog be over run and turned into a communication form that has been questionably unhealthy. In light of this blogging metamorphosis I make a stand and post after a long absence. Interestingly I have noticed the massive amount of people who view our blog since it's conception last September and the names of 50+ friends and families that have been added by The Better Half to the "FRIENDS" listing. To all of you who view - listed or not I would like some feed back. We recently celebrated our 2-year Anniversary. Upon reflection of marriage, a inconspicuous by-product has come to light. Once married I was owned by another. This blissful bondage was chosen and welcomed. However, I became a pet. My evidence is the many names by which I have called:
  • Homy
  • Puppy
  • Pony
  • Honey
  • Babe
  • Ry

The list does go on. The most recent pet name intrigues me; mainly because I accept it. "Poo", yes poo. I think it evolved from 'Puppy' to a Latin accent pronunciation of the plural form: 'Puppies'. If you've seen Nacho Libre you know what I'm talking about. From there it was shortened to Poop then poo. This new name is used frequently. I do not think there is any malicious intent, but it is perplexing that I am okay with it. My question is to each of you bloggers. What weird names has your significant other created to claim ownership of you?

I'll be looking forward to your responses.
